Fantastic tutorial EJ! Quick question, you’re using a mac but I noticed you have Redshift and Octane installed? Do you use an eGPU to render as I was under the impression you needed an Nvidia GPU for those render engines which Apple don’t support?
I have an eGPU running on a Trash Can Mac and a little bit of script magic. You can learn more all about setups on egpu.io!
Great tutorial EJ. Thanks a lot for sharing!

AMAZING tutorial! Thank you SO MUCH for all you do! I am very inspired to keep learning from you. The pigeon tutorial is only my 2nd tutorial, and I am very new and slow. QUESTION: where should I go to learn how to properly detail/color in things–the basics. For example, the legs/feet of the pigeon are extruded from the body, so when I go to color in the body, the legs are the same as the body. Also, how did you get the stripe on the wing?
Thank you again!
thanks for the kind words! 🙂
cool tutorial, thank you. i’m at 14.55 on the timeline. I id the loop to clean up as you demonstrated (m,l keys). I’ve got an issue with the insides of the feet where they meet creasing, can these be smoothed? I tried extreme Ironing as i’d like to make the feet more stylised but the creasing is more apparent. when i hit render I can see the sharpness between the toes. Any resolves for this?
